The Kan-Ducky Derby

With the economic situation created by COVID-19, many PAL families have seen a loss of income and/or employment. The PAL started its own food pantry and has provided assistance to over 300 families with essential food items some of which have been harvested from the PAL community garden.

The Kan-Ducky Derby is a fundraising event that will allow the KCK PAL and our community to come together by allowing members of our community to “adopt” a rubber duck.  Adopted ducks are then dropped into a waterway to win prizes for their adoptive parents.  The proceeds from each duck adopted will directly benefit the PAL located at 800 N. 5th (The old St. Mary’s Catholic Church).
