Paul Holewinski is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dickinson Financial Corporation (“DFC”), a $3.3 billion bank holding company headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, which owns and operates two separately chartered national banks. Mr. Holewinski is also Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Academy Bank, a commercial bank with $2.3 billion in assets and locations throughout Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Arizona. In addition, he serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Armed Forces Bank, a military-focused bank, with approximately $1 billion in total assets.
Mr. Holewinski joined DFC in 1997 as a Vice President of Commercial Banking and in 2009, he was promoted to CEO of DFC and its subsidiary banks and led the successful turnaround of the organization. He led the negotiation and sale of the Bank Midwest traditional branches to NBH Holdings effectively recapitalizing the company, while retaining the in-store banking segment of Bank Midwest within Dickinson Financial Corporation under the name of Academy Bank. With a strong capital base, DFC banks have experienced strong growth within their core business segments.
Prior to joining Dickinson Financial Corporation in March 1999, Mr. Holewinski was an attorney with Bryan Cave, L.L.P. practicing in the areas of mergers, acquisitions and securities offerings. He received his Juris Doctorate degree and M.B.A. from St. Louis University and is a graduate of the Colorado School of Banking.
Mr. Holewinski currently serves as a Director of the Kansas City Civic Council, the UMKC Board of Trustees (Chair of Asset Management Committee and member of Executive Committee), the Police Athletic League of Kansas City, KS and Chairman of the Kansas City Tomorrow Steering Committee; is a Member of the Downtown Council and the Kansas City Chapter of YPO.
Mr. Holewinski and his wife Amy have four children and reside in Kansas City, Missouri.
